Schedule for St. Ann

 

Holy Thursday:  5:30 p.m. Mass of the Lord’s Supper (Fr. Tharp)

Good Friday:  7:00 p.m.  Traditional Reading of the Passion,

                 Veneration of the Cross, and Holy Communion (Fr. Tharp)

Holy Saturday: 8:45 p.m.   Easter Vigil (Fr. Adam)

Easter Sunday:  9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (Fr. Adam)

 

Schedule for Sacred Heart

 

Holy Thursday:  7:00 p.m.  Mass of the Lord’s Supper (Fr. Tharp)

Good Friday:  12:00 p.m.   Stations of the Cross (Fr. Tharp)

                1:00 p.m.   Passion presented musically

        2:00 p.m.   Veneration of the Cross

2:30 p.m.      Holy Communion

Good Friday evening:  7:00 p.m.  (Fr. Adam)

Holy Saturday: 8:45 p.m.   Easter Vigil (Fr. Tharp)

Easter Sunday:  8:00 a.m.   10:00 a.m.   12:00 p.m.  (Fr. Tharp)

 

 

 

Confessions on Holy Week will take place on Monday evening March 21 at St. Ann from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Confessions will be heard at Sacred Heart on Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or until all are heard.  PLEASE NOTE!!!   THERE ARE NO CONFESSIONS ON TUESDAY OF HOLY WEEK (March 22) AS THE ARCHBISHOP WANTS ALL THE DEANS AND PASTORS TO ATTEND THE CHRISM MASS AT THE CATHEDRAL. 

Please note: According to Church Law, there can be NO MORNING MASSES on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, or Holy Saturday. 

 

I will celebrate Mass on Holy Thursday at St. Ann at 5:30 p.m.  I will celebrate Mass on Holy Thursday at Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m.

There will be a three hour service at Sacred Heart on Good Friday starting with Stations of the Cross at Noon.  The Passion will be sung by the choir from 1:00 p.m. to about 2:00 p.m.  Adoration of the Cross will take place from about 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Communion Service will begin at approximately 2:30 p.m. 

 

Fr. Adam will celebrate the Good Friday service at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart.  I (Fr. Tharp) will celebrate the same Good Friday service at St. Ann at 7:00 p.m.

 

THERE ARE NO MASSES ON SATURDAY (MARCH 26) HOLY SATURDAY UNTIL 8:45 P.M.  There are NO Saturday afternoon or early evening Masses on Holy Saturday at St. Ann, Sacred Heart, or any other Catholic parish in the Archdiocese.  Easter Vigil will take place at Sacred Heart and at St. Ann beginning at 8:45 p.m.  The baptism and reception of RCIA candidates will take place at the Easter Vigil at Sacred Heart.

 

Easter Sunday Masses follow the usual Sunday schedule at both St. Ann and Sacred Heart.
